If you want to read a book filled with passion, Shakespeare and angst, this is the perfect book to pick up. When you have a group that's close like this, there are all kinds of romances and rivalries going on, but being able to watch it all play out is a rare experience.
My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Part of a series or Standalone: Standalone
Genre: Mystery
Tropes: Actors, The Stage and Real Life Blend, Fate vs. Free will, Dark Academia, Slow Burn
Things I liked: The dual timeline really helps to build the suspense of the story! I felt it added that extra bit of drama.
Oh! The ending was really good!
If you like Shakespeare, there are so many references made throughout the book. The students in the book are also actors, so we get to see them getting ready for roles in his plays as well.
Things I disliked: I wish they could have talked out their issues. The group was so close, and everything just sorta shattered them. However, they were very young, so it's understandable that emotions were high.
Audiobook or Physical? I read the physical book, which I actually picked up from a little local library! Don't worry, I left something behind when I took this book out.
Extras: Oliver's POV
