Caraval by Stephanie Garber

I really wanted to like this book more. It had so much promise plunging us into a magical world where dreams can come true. However, ending just really ruins everything for me. I suppose the book did give me very strong feelings of anger, so if you want to feel deeply, this will be a good read.

My Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Part of a series or Standalone: #1 in Caraval series, there are 4 books in the series

Genres: YA Fantasy

Tropes: Magical Games, High Stakes, Grand prize is a wish, Forbidden Romance, Enemies to Lovers, Dark Secrets, Don't Trust Anyone

Things I liked: The premise of the games is overall a really fun idea!

I love Scarlett. She deserves so much!

Things I disliked: I wasn't a fan of Tella by the end of the book. I fed up with her. She's just so selfish and annoying.

The idea of an impossible wish is so interesting, I was not impressed by how it was executed in the book.

Audiobook or Physical? I read the audiobook and was happy that Rebecca Soler was the narrator. I loved her voice for the Lunar Chronicles!

Extras: Scarlett's POV
