Cujo by Stephen King

This book gets such an unfair rap. I wish I had picked up this book sooner rather than assuming I knew everything about this book. Theres so many references to it in other works but they never do it justice. Do yourself a favor and read this classic!

My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Part of a Series or Standalone: Can be read as a standalone theres a story called Rattlesnakes that gives insight to how the characters are doing later on.

Genres: Horror, Thriller

Tropes: Trapped, Small Town vibes, No one is safe, Rabies, Scapegoat

Things I liked: I will never understand how King captures the female perspective so accurately.

This is one of the few books of King's I actually consider true horror.

Things I disliked: It was kinda hard to see and experience what Cujo goes through.

Audiobook or Physical? I really liked the audiobook! It really got the intensity across of certain moments. Lorna Raver does an excellent job of narratoring the story.

If animals are abused, die or are killed in this book: Cujo goes through a lot in this book sharing his fate though would be a big spoiler.

Extras: Switches POV's which includes Cujo's
