I was really amazed by this short story collection. This collection will make you fall in love with Sci-Fi. Each story was just as compelling as the last, making us wonder even now in the future what the even more distant future will look like. Will people be able to balance life and technology, or will we always be at the mercy of progress.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Part of a series or Standalone: Short Story Collection
Genres: Sci-Fi, Fantasy
Tropes: Man asked if he could not if he should, Space Travel, Tech vs. People, Human Imagination, Fate vs. Free Will, Isolation
Things I liked: This short story collection is just non-stop entertainment!
While I was reading this, it struck me that a lot of these stories include themes that Stephen King often plays with, so if you are a fan of his, you will definitely wanna pick this up too.
Normally, short story collections aren't tied together so cleverly. Bradbury uses his illustrated man as the framework for the whole collection. The illustrated man is a tattoo covered man whose tattoos move and show us the stories that are told here.
Things I disliked: Even though there's over 18 short stories in this collection, I could have easily read 18 more.
Audiobook or Physical? I listened to the audiobook! There's 3 different narrators, and they do such an amazing job creating a whole cast og character! Thank you, Prentice Onayemi, Ari Fliakos, and Marin Ireland
Extras: Multiple POV's
