Paladin's Grace by T. Kingfisher

I fell in love with this Cozy Mystery Fantasy book! Fans of Dungeons and Dragons will really love this series.

My Rating: 5 out of 5

Part of a series or Standalone: #1 in Saint of Steel series

Genre: Cozy Mystery, Fantasy

Tropes: Dungeon's and Dragons, Magic, Redemption, Forgiveness, Berserker

Things I liked: Steven is my absolute favorite character! You gotta love a man who's reliable and knits socks!

The pacing of the book was well done too, the A and B plot were both playing out expertly while I was being entertained the whole time.

Grace was a really strong female character, and she was also really vulnerable, which made you want to be there for her.

The paladins were all *chef's kiss* perfect paladins, I loved how intense, protective, and good they all were.

Things I disliked: I definitely want more from both these characters and this world. I hope they come into the story again in some of the later books.

Audiobook or Physical? Audiobook was very good! Joel Richard's does an amazing job!

Good Quote(s): "If we limited loving to just the sane, undamaged people, the next generation would have about three people in it, and presumably humanity would die out shortly afterward."

"I fear that I am not the best possible person for this, but I am the best possible person available at this time, which is much the same thing."

"He wished that he could break out his knitting, but for some reason, people didn’t take you seriously as a warrior when you were knitting. He’d never figured out why. Making socks required four or five double-ended bone needles, and while they weren’t very large, you could probably jam one into someone’s eye if you really wanted to. Not that he would. He’d have to pull the needle out of the sock to do it, and then he’d be left with the grimly fiddly work of rethreading the stitches. Also, washing blood out of wool was possible, but it was a pain. Still, if he had to suddenly pull out his sword and fend off an attack, there was a chance he’d drop the yarn, and since he’d been feeling masochistic and was using two colors for this current set of socks, there was absolutely no chance the yarn wouldn’t get tangled and then he’d be trying to murder people while chasing the yarn around. "

Extras: Switches between Grace and Steven's POV's
