I did like the first book a bit more. However, it was still nice to join Jordan on another adventure. This time, the mystery was out of town, as well as including a small town with those small town secrets.
My Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Part of a series or Standalone: #2 in Jordan Manning series
Genre: Thriller, Mystery
Tropes: Playing Detective, Small Town Drama, Unlikable Victim, Dealing with the Past
Things I liked: I liked learning more about Jordan. She's a strong woman who can be an inspiration.
The mystery was very fantastical and escalated very quickly, which was entertaining.
Things I disliked: This was so different from the first book. Yes, Jordan was heavily involved, but this time, I was really confused as to the outcome of the crime and why she got so involved in the first place.
Audiobook or Physical? I listened to the audiobook! The performance by Susan Dalian was great!
Extras: Jordan's POV
